According to a data report from DappRadar, the sales of Non-fungible tokens have seen a 26% upsurge in NFT sales for the first in January 2023. The NFT market is recovering after a disastrous sales drought in the second half of 2022.
Prominent NFT marketplace, OpenSea alone saw a 40% surge in the NFT trade volumes in the first week itself. Reportedly, 1.2 million NFT transactions were during January 1- January 8 by about 400K NFT buyers. Additionally, Ethereum sales also grew by 14.84 in the same period as the number of buyers increased to 160,241.
MineablePunks NFT #11467 sold on the LooksRare marketplace for $780,189. Even the top 3 selling NFTs where from the Mineable Punks NFT project. While BAYC held its throne of being the top NFT collection with more than 185 transactions accounting to $19,404,425 in sales.
Additionally, the NFT community saw Azuki to become the top NFT anime project with golden fishing rod spirit Azuki #7257 selling for more than $350,000. Stats of last 30 days show Azuki’s floor price surged to 43%.
